Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and limited technical information needed to operate and protect the marketplace. Depending on how you use Inqyri, this may include:
- Buyer and enquiry details: name, mobile number, WhatsApp number, email address, city/location, PIN or postal code, requested quantity, product/category of interest, and the requirement or message you submit.
- Supplier account and business details: business and contact names, email, mobile and WhatsApp numbers, supplier type, city, business profile, product listings, images, branding, verification status and plan/listing details.
- Marketplace activity: product and store views, enquiries submitted, account activity, inquiry status and timestamps used for dashboards, reporting, abuse prevention and service improvement.
- Technical information: device/browser information, approximate usage data, IP/security logs and cookie or similar identifiers where enabled by the website or hosting/security tools.
Please submit only information needed for a genuine business enquiry. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, government identity numbers or other sensitive personal information in free-text enquiry fields.
How we use information
We use information to operate the marketplace and provide the functions you request, including to:
- create and administer supplier accounts, verify email addresses and review supplier profiles or listings;
- send a buyer’s enquiry to the relevant supplier or suppliers and display the enquiry record in applicable vendor/admin dashboards;
- enable direct contact between buyers and suppliers, including WhatsApp click-to-chat links where available;
- show supplier listings, product details, store information, ratings or activity metrics where applicable;
- provide service notices, respond to support requests, investigate abuse, protect the site and maintain backups;
- understand site usage, improve performance and enforce our terms and applicable legal obligations.
WhatsApp and direct supplier contact
Where you choose a WhatsApp button, Inqyri may open a WhatsApp click-to-chat link using the supplier’s contact number and a prepared message or context. This action takes you to WhatsApp or its web/app experience, which is operated by WhatsApp/Meta and governed by their terms and privacy policy.
Important: a normal WhatsApp click-to-chat link does not give Inqyri access to the private conversation, replies, attachments or call history inside WhatsApp. We can record an on-site enquiry or click event only where the website functionality actually records it; we do not claim to know the contents of a WhatsApp conversation unless that information is separately submitted to Inqyri. If you want a record in the Inqyri dashboard, submit the website enquiry form as well.
Data retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the marketplace, maintain enquiry and supplier records, resolve disputes, meet legal/accounting obligations, prevent abuse and protect the service. Retention periods may vary by record type and operational needs. When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymise it or securely dispose of it where feasible and legally permitted.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. However, no website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep account credentials confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been misused.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be able to request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of personal information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or raise an objection or complaint. You can also choose not to submit an enquiry, or contact a supplier directly without using an Inqyri form where that option is available.
To make a privacy request, email hello@inqyri.com from an address we can use to verify your request. We may need to confirm your identity and may retain certain records where required or permitted by law.
Children’s privacy
Inqyri is a business sourcing marketplace and is not intended for children. Please do not create a supplier account or submit personal information if you are not legally able to use the service in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website, features or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the marketplace after an update is subject to the revised policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
